Stephen ‘Gear Daddy’ Kurpis

FOUNDER, OWNER & OPERATOR / PRODUCER / ENGINEER / MIXER

Stephen Kurpis is a veteran of the Manhattan large facility recording scene who has recorded animation voice-over for Nickelodeon and Bento Box, audiobooks for Simon & Schuster and USA Today Best-Selling Authors, Virtual Reality projects for The NY Times, performed sound system design for BandsInTown, and live-streamed events for The Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs.  As a music engineer, he's been a part of countless sessions for jazz, classical, hip-hop, folk, rock, and Broadway cast recordings; highlights being for Philip Glass, Spin Media, Audiomack, and featured artists of the NPR Tiny Desk Contest.  He's spent time as an educator and studio manager while growing the studio; ensuring an organized, thoughtful, and comprehensive approach.  He’s designed the studio, and its services, to embrace the future of audio production in an increasingly fluid & dynamic creative environment without the sacrifice of quality; priding himself on its supportive, responsive & collaborative approach that facilitates confident & prompt decision making early on in the production process.

 

Adrian Enscoe

PRODUCER / SONGWRITER / ARRANGER / MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST

Adrian Enscoe is an upstate-born & Brooklyn based singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. As a founding member of Brooklyn-based indie folk pop trio Bandits on the Run he has written, arranged, and recorded a handful of singles, jingles, sound cues, 2 EPs, and a full length album; written and arranged music for a variety of theatrical pieces including The Band at the End of the World (Prospect Theater Company); and co-scored several films including the upcoming Peter Hedges film The Same Storm. As a producer he has worked on numerous original songs for the Netflix animated series StoryBots, a theme song for the Don’t Touch the Mic podcast (a spin-off of The Moth Radio Hour), and several solo songs based on the work of Emily Dickinson. Adrian is also an accomplished actor who has appeared on screen (starring opposite Hailee Steinfeld in Apple TV+’s Peabody Award Winning breakout hit Dickinson) and on stage (along side Tony Award winner John Gallagher Jr. in the Avett Brothers’ musical Swept Away).

 

Devin Curry

Devin Curry is an LA-born, London-based music producer, songwriter, and DJ. As a producer, he specializes in synthesizer sound design, drum programming, and musical arranging for various electronic genres, including dream pop, bedroom pop, alt-RnB, as well as the DJ-focused sounds of house, garage, indie dance, and nu-disco. Under his producer alias Grand Atrium, he has created electronic remixes for labels including Kitsuné Musique, Secretly Canadian, and Neon Gold. He also works under the dance music persona D.D. Curry, coming up as an in-demand DJ in the Brooklyn underground and releasing original tracks on Mixmag Records, Y4 Collective, and founding his own label Fortune Signal. His music has been heard in mixes by respected international DJs including Logic1000, Ben Gomori, and Hiatt dB, and he himself has played top venues and radio stations in the US and abroad including Elsewhere Brooklyn, Jupiter Disco (where he was a resident DJ), The Lot Radio, Balamii London, and Netil Radio. As a composer, Curry has scored Kat Sullivan & Cassandra Trenary’s award-winning multimedia project Tapis Roulant (for American Ballet Theatre and Chanel) and the Guggenheim-commissioned dance film "Fuir" by Bessie Award nominee Lloyd Knight (Martha Graham Dance Company); along with original music for Calvin Klein, Roddenberry Podcast Network, the Shaker Museum of Mount Lebanon, and numerous independent video games.

 

Tom Wilson

Tom Wilson is a San Diego born keyboardist currently based in Brooklyn where he is the Minister of Music for the Lutheran Church of Greenpoint and holds a long-standing weekly residency playing blues/soul music in the village with The Stew Cutler Group. He’s also served musical director for LES cabaret show in MARY, and tours regularly across the country with Irish Christmas music & dance act Celtic Angels. He also plays keyboards in the touring show Rebel Rebel: The Many Lives of David Bowie.

In addition to his own music, he has produced for Leo P (Shanachie Records). He specializes in a unique taste of live drums with heavy synthesizers, while drawing diverse influence from artists such as Parliament, Isaac Hayes, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Lettuce, Brasstracks, Louis Cole, and Max Martin.

 

Dan Walker

MASTERING ENGINEER / ENGINEER

Dan Walker is a professional audio engineer with over a decade in the industry. Offering production, mixing services, and mastering services while utilizing Vitruvian Sound for his clients seeking a high quality recording space for their projects. As a member of cult art punk band The Death Set, Dan’s experience lies in both the studio and live environments. He’s worked with artists on DFA, Ultra, Dim Mak, Ninja Tune and Rough Trade XL. Since closing The Submarine, he’s transitioned into mastering full-time.

Indian-borned and American-raised PAR. is a Georgia Tech educated electrical engineer who quit his job at Texas Instruments to de-camp to Brooklyn and pursue music full-time.  He began his musical journey at nine with piano training before exploring composition at fourteen.  Now at twenty-six he's immersed himself in production for Hip Hop, Pop and R&B styles in addition to songwriting and rapping. 

His time spent as an apprentice at Vitruvian Sound has further refined his production sensibilities and workflows while he continues to diversify his music & art business mindset; ensuring a comprehensively supportive experience for his client productions.
