Stephen ‘Gear Daddy’ Kurpis
Stephen Kurpis is a veteran of the Manhattan large facility recording scene who has recorded animation voice-over for Nickelodeon and Bento Box, audiobooks for Simon & Schuster and USA Today Best-Selling Authors, Virtual Reality projects for The NY Times, performed sound system design for BandsInTown, and live-streamed events for The Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. As a music engineer, he's been a part of countless sessions for jazz, classical, hip-hop, folk, rock, and Broadway cast recordings; highlights being for Philip Glass, Spin Media, Audiomack, and featured artists of the NPR Tiny Desk Contest. He's spent time as an educator and studio manager while growing the studio; ensuring an organized, thoughtful, and comprehensive approach. He’s designed the studio, and its services, to embrace the future of audio production in an increasingly fluid & dynamic creative environment without the sacrifice of quality; priding himself on its supportive, responsive & collaborative approach that facilitates confident & prompt decision making early on in the production process.
Richard Jordan
Richard Jordan has been in the business for 25 years; with his primary role seeing him casting a wide variety of projects in the worlds of indie films, commercials, music videos, voiceovers, and print & live events. Commercially, he has cast voice-over campaigns for brands such as Tommy John, Goody, Ouidad, Best Buy, Macy’s, Hypnotiq, and MTV. His Nectar Mattress spot won a Webby Award for YouTube Ad of the Year. In the indie darling world, he has cast films that have appeared at top film festivals; including SXSW, TriBeCa, and that have taken the top prize for best drama at Vimeo’s Staff Pick of the year award with “SICK BOY”. Expressing his love for a broad range of creative expression has seen him cast music videos for The All American Rejects (nominated for British Video Music Awards), Norah Jones, Lewis Capaldi, DRAM, Joey Badass. With his own background as an actor he’s narrated several audiobooks and provided character voicing in the original Red Dead Redemption game. In addition to Richard's casting and direct acting contributions, you’ll also find him further pour his passion into producing award winning branded content; or appearing on panel talks & lecturing about the business of acting; or serving as a judge & speaker for several film festivals (New Orleans Film Festival, Santa Fe International Film Festival & The Winter Film Awards). At Vitruvian Sound, he has found a home to further utilize his experience to support the latest crop of talent in casting for internal productions and coaching & directing actors creating their professional voice-over demo reels.
